Medical micropigmentation procedures, sometimes referred to as medical tattoo are used to help disguise accidental burns, surgical scaring, and to re-create the appearance of hair, nipples, and areolas.
Para-medical application of micropigmentation is used in post-mastectomy areola repigmentation, scar camouflaging, on bald areas of the scalp, cleft lip correction, to help clients dealing with trichotillinania, alopecia, viteligo and much more.
Vitiligo
As with scar camouflage, pigments are individually blended and introduced to the skin to match the surrounding skin areas. Several procedures may be necessary to reach the desired result.
Vitiligo has to have been stable and non-progressive for 2 years before any treatment can be carried out.
SMP/ Scalp micropigmentation
Is the perfect answer for hair loss in men and women due to irregularities caused by scaring from injury, surgery, alopecia or trichotillomania.
The scalp micropigmentation process creates micro-dots that replicate the appearance of hair follicles, creating a densification effect.
SMP is an excellent option for thinning hair areas or baldness
It gives an illusion of fuller head of hair, and at the same time stimulates new hair growth by repetitive insertions of micro-needles to the dermal skin layer.
Correctional Camouflage – Removal
Alopecia
Using micropigmentation techniques we can create natural looking eyebrows (hair simulation) for clients who have lost theirs due to alopecia or chemotherapy. Eyelash enhancement is also available and very effective for clients who have sparse eyelashes.
Areola Restoration
Re-pigmentation to the areola/nipple is the last step in breast reconstruction process and gives the newly remodeled breast a finish and more natural look. This procedure has enormous psychological benefits with the client experiencing a return of personal confidence and femininity.
Areola enlargement can be performed on women who have undergone breast augmentation and would prefer their areolas to look larger.
Areolas scar camouflage
Breast augmentation procedure requires one or more incision at or around the edge of the areola. The appearance of the post augmentation scar can be softened by implanting custom pigment blend into the scars tissue using camouflage techniques.
Scar camouflage
Custom pigment blends are introduced into the scar to both camouflage and blend in with the surrounding skin. This treatment can be very effective as it takes away the “bright white” look of the healed scar and improves overall skin appearance.
Pigment retention in scar tissue is unpredictable and clients should be prepared to have more than one appointment to achieve the desired results.
Cleft lip
Micropigmentation procedure can improve the appearance of a cleft lip by recreating the cupids bow and achieving a symmetrical shape by using custom pigment blends identical to the natural lip color. Scarring resulting from cleft palate reconstructive surgery can also be successfully treated.
